Adam & Cindy's Wedding

Sept. 2008

Photos by: Sharon Caren & Dave Crimmen

My good friends Adam Sturgeon & Cindy Epps decided to "Tie The Knott". Adam is the fella that helped format all of my YouTube Videos Y'All. He's a very talented cat ! Cindy's a BIG 49er fan and a good coach of girls soccer.............Ah...............that's Foodball for all of you out side the U.S.

Adam & Cindy.

Cindy & her Mom Edie

Walking down the Isle after the ceremony

DARN.................Don't they look "PURDY" !!!!!!

Me with Pan & Greg, Adam's Mom & Dad.

The ceremony was held on Treasure Island in the San Francisco Bay. Greg, Adam's Dad, used to be in the U.S. Navy. Virtually every salior had to go through the Fire Fighting school when Tresure Island was a U.S. Naval Base. The ironic thing is, MY Dad was part of the crew that set up the Fire Schools in 1945 when Daddy was a "Chief Watertender". As Daddy would say "I was the highest of the lowest" :-)

For those of you not familiar with The San Francisco Bay Area, Treasure Island is a man made island right in the middle of the San Francisco Bay. It was built in 1936 - 1937 for the Golden Gate World Exposition. The U.S. Navy took it over in 1942. It's conected by a small isthmus to Yurba Buena Island, a natural Island that still has a U.S. Coast Guard Base on it.

Okay gang, agan for all of you who haven't been to the Bay Area, I tried to get a little fancy with some "Panaramic" shots. Looking directly East from the chapel on Treasure Island, is Yuerba Buena. Moving to my right, towards the South East is the San Francisco - Oakland Bay Bridge.

Still moving towards my right, South East, you can see the bridge continuing towards San Francisco. Just underneith the bridge, on the bottom right corner you can almost see "Pac Bell Park" where the San Francisco Giants play Baseball.

Still moving to my right side, now looking South, is San Francisco CA. In the photo to the left, you can see the Transamerica Pyramid Building.

Still moving to my right side, now in a South Western direction, is the Golden Gate Bridge off in the distance. Finally, directly to the West from Treasure Island is Alcatraz Island which served as a Federal Prison and house such notable folks as Robert Stroud, the "Bird Man" of Alcatraz and Al Capone.

Okay gang, back to Adam, Cindy & the wedding. Here's the chapel on Treasure Island where the ceremony took place.

THIS is the ONLY reason i play weddings. The CAKE !!!!!! Well, maybe not the only reason.

Cindy & Greg, Adam's Dad

Adam & Edie, Cindy's Mom. By the way, Edie is a published author ! She co-wrote a book about the Southern Pacific Railroad and the folks in San Francisco, including her family, that worked there. Another Irony, after my Dad got out of the Navy in 1947, he worked for Southern Pacific at the rail yards boardering what is now Brisbane, CA.

There's that tall, dark, semi-good lookin' guitar player again

The guys, Johnny on Bass & Brian on drums

Adam & Cindy hired a D.J. to play between our sets to give us a break and let us enjoy the party.

Hey, the wine was really good

No, the wine was REALLY good !

Everybody DANCE

Now don't get me started !

Let 'em eat cake

Didn't know Pam could play that well. I can use ALL the help I can get.

Hey, this wedding thing is kinda fun. I really should try it sometime

Sara.............possessed

This was a Billboard add on Treasure Island the day of the wedding. Perhaps a hint of what was going to happen on the "Honeymoon" ??? Let's hope that there's pictures for the web site ! In the mean time, Cindy & Adam CONGRATS ! Thanx for letting us share this time with you both. I'm sure it will be a long lasting relationship.

Love Ya both

Dave & Sharon
