Club 23

Sept. 2010

Photos by: Dave Crimmen, Nick Fitch, Paul Johnson

Mr and the boyz were invited to play a gig with two great local Rockabilly bands. The gig was at Club 23, a roadhouse in Brisbane, CA. Club 23 has had such greats as Ray Price, Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins and Jerry Lee Lewis play there. You could just feel the history in the room Blue Diamond Fillups opened the show. They really remind me of what I'm doing with my music, they play the ROCKIN' side of Rocabilly. Here's how to find out more about them, just click on their name below, it's a link to their MySpace site:

Blue Diamond Fillups

Here's Nick Fitch, the manager for Blue Diamond Fillups, he's a great guy Y'All. Look him up to book their band!

Gotta LOVE that shirt!

After Blue Diamond Fillups tore through their set, it was time for us to do our "Thang"

Showin' Off.......just a little.

But wait...........

NOW, we're REALLY showin' off!

Who was that masked man?

Headlineing the show was Missfire and the Detonatons. Another cool ROCKIN' Rockabilly band. Paul Johnson on Upright Bass. He's the one who helped organize all of this. Below os more info on the band, just click on their name, it's a link to their MySpace:

Missfire and the Detonations

The gig was a LOT of fun, I hope to cross paths with both bands soon!

I'll plant you now and dig you later
