Me & Johnny Rockin' Out at the Cessna site. For those of you not in the Bay Area, Half Moon Bay puts on the "Dream machines" show every year at the Airport. It brings in lots of cool cars, air planes and folks!
Speaking of cool cars here's a beautiful '57 Chevy. It's not a Bel Air but it IS beautiful
Here's a Navy Fighter from WW11. My Dad was in the U.S. Navy and served in WW 2 and Korea. This plane was probably "Serving" at the same time.
Like i said Cool folks. The Rockabilly crowd was certainly there !
Another '57 this one IS a Bel Air and a convertable to boot! Dig the crazy interior !
Also from WW 2 here is a B-25 bomber just like the one Jimmy Doolittle used in his raids on mail land Japan after Pearl Harbor was bombed.
Even though this plane is classifed as a "Light" bomber....I wouldn't want to mess with her !
She's so big, even for a "Light" bobmer, that I couldn't get her all in one picture
This is Riley. She's the Granddaughter of a very dear friend of mine, Susan. I warned her, I was about his age when I decided I wanted to be a Rock 'n Roller. Be Careful !!! Mama don't let your baby's grow up to be Rockers!
A buddy i used to work with, Al Becker and his wife.
I don't know what type of car this is, but it sure is PINK !
Judging from the markings, this WW2 fighter is from the Australian Navy
A very cool '55 Bel Air.
Oh well, back to work !
This was a fun gig. I have to thank Patti, Johnny's fiance for asking us to play. It was a BLAST ! Dave |
