On New Years Day 2009 we got a little "New" addition to the family. Please welcome "Little Charlie". Charlie is a rescue dog and the Vet says he's about three years old. I love him because he's not a little "Yipe" dog. He really thinks he's a Labradore so he doesn't bark all that much and is the mello-est dog I've ever met. Just gotta LOVE that face ! I'll be updating this page from time to time with more "Pics" of Charlie. I hope you all enjoy them as much as I do. To get the most recent accounts of Little Charlie's adventures, please scroll down. These pictures are in chronological order, top to bottom, with the most recent at the bottom of the page.
Charlie was a little scrawney when we first got him. He had been in four different homes the previous four months before we got him. So I can't blame him for being scared & hungry.
After his first bath that we gave him. Not quiet sure what to make of that experience.
Charlie found a new friend in Sophia, or is that the other way around ?
Rehearsal at Johnny's house. Charlie was originally given to John, my Bass Player , who already had three dogs of his own and just couldn't take on another even though Charlie finds a way into everyone's heart. Charlie really does think that he's a Lab and doesn't have a problem with big dogs. Here he is with Johnny's trio, Zoe, on the left, Charlie in the middle, Bunny , A Bull Terior at the top and Winnie on the right.
Nap time
Charlie with Big Sister, Dea, working on their "Sun Tans"
One day Charlie decided to help himself to Dea's bed
Charlie will come and stay with me in my downstairs office a lot. I keep the heater on and the door closed so it's always warmer down there than in the rest of the house. He likes his favorite downstairs bed......my rain coat.
We had rehearsal a week or two ago at the house and Charlie decided the best view of the band was from Johnny's bass guitar case
Just gotta LOVE that face !
Little Charlie and i have also discovered a new and improved way to watch the San Francisco 49ers play on Sunday, or just take a nap.
Here's me and "Little Charlie" at the studios for Ch. 26 in Pacifica CA. Sharon & I got Charlie on New Years Day 2009 and he's been just a little blessing. He's even found a new way to help me warm up my voice before a show.
What's in YOUR wallet ?
Hiding out from the house painters in his bed, in my downstairs office
Hmmmmm, guess these guys aren't so dangerous after all

Another bath!!!! It's cold out there, leave me alone!
Sharon took these in our kitchen on her IPhone. This is Charlie in his favorite "Chair"
Ya think he's comfortable? .....Ya THINK ??????
He's little but he's "Tough". He's our little "Harley-Davidson" pup
Summer of 2010, Sharon & I went to visit her niece in Stockton, CA. Here's Charlie working on his tan.
C'mon Charlie, it's hot and there's a pool! The pool was great.
Nah
Charlie, drying off.
Here's Sharon's nephew Zae with our little star and yes, Little Charlie does know how to smile.
Sharon and I recently made a trip to Los Angeles for the weekend. Johnny, my bass player, took care of Little Charlie for us. Ah, our little "Naked-Nudie" working on his tan on Johnny's deck.
It's Lunchtime! Here's an image that brought a smile while we were gone. This is Inga, Johnny's basset hound, eating out of Charlie's dish and Charlie making every effort to eat out of Inga's bowl.
Here's what happened the other night when Sharon, Charlie & me tried to watch a rerun of Star Trek. We don't watch that much T.V.
I'm not sleeping, I'm just resting my eyes.
Oh well, we've seen this episode before anyway
Charlie and his pet "Humans" at Thankgiving time. Wearing his "Pumpkin" suit
Charlie is quiet the stylist with his new out fits we got him for this year's "Holly" Daze.
Here he is in his "Little Grinch"outfit.

Last, but not least, "He sees you when you're eating". If any of you out there own a dog of any kind, you could relate! Here's some "Pics" taken at my concet in Santa Clara California Summer 2010: Even little dogs liked us:
ppppsssssssssstttttttttt.....Speaking of little dogs, my name is Charlie.
I'm chief of security for the band and I guard the backstage.
Would you like to go backstage and meet the band? It can be very easily arranged.
But it will cost you a LOT of dog treats. I prefer Chicken. Do YOU have any Chicken?
A big THANK YOU goes out to Chris Kinney who is a photographer for the Santa Clara Weekly. She wrote a GREAT story on me and the guys and with out her, Sharon wouldn't be in the picture cause she's be taking them!. Here's Sharon, Me and our "Chief of Security"
This band ROCKS!
Little Charlie at the new Vet's office, getting his weight taken and munching on a treat that the new Vet gave him. He LOVES his new Vet!
Little Charlie helping "Daddy" on the computer
He really knows how to help "Balance" the check book!
After all that hard work, it's time for some "Chicken" treats.
Daddy, the ballgame's over, now can I have a Chicken Treat?
Well, it was an exhausting game to watch, the Giants beat the Rockies, maybe after we take a nap?
Charlie got a new sweat shirt with a hood to keep him warm
Yes, Little Charlie DOES Rock!
Time to sit back and enjoy the Giants. Little Charlie doesn't seem to care who's playin' as long as he's comfy.
Oh, the Giants are loosing tonight. Time for a nap. It's Sunday Oct. 16th, 2011. The San Francisco 49ers have a 4-1 record and are playing the Detroit Lions (IN DETROIT) and they have a 5-0 record their best in years.
The 1 minute and 51 seconds left in the game and "Little Charlie" is on the couch under his blanket. The score is 49ers 18, Detroit Lions 19.The 49ers are on the 8 yard line of Detroit, and it's 4th and goal.
OMG, I CAN'T LOOK!
The ball is snapped and Quarterback Alex Smith passes to Delanie Walker. Walker catches it, scores the touchdown and, with the extra point kicked, the final score is The San Francisco 49ers 25, The Detroit Lions 19
Whew, now I can go back to sleep! Stay tuned for more adventures of "Little Charlie" Dave :-) |
