Pacifca Spindrift Players Fundraiser

Aug. 2010

Photos by: Sharon Caren

After we did Novato Nostalgia days in the afternoon we played a benefit that night. The Pacifca Spindrift Players have been putting on live plays since the dawn of time. The theater needs a new roof so we thought we'd help out.

In September, they will be putting on their version of "Bye Bye Birdie". This was a movie in the early 1960s loosly based on the story of Elvis Presley. In the original movie the lead character, Conrad Birdie, was played by Bobby Rydell. We even pulled out one of Bobby's songs "Little Bitty Girl"

Gary & Joan were making the best of it. They live up the hill from me.

We had dancers and WINNERS!

It's a tough job!

Okay, what's the next song?

Ruth and Alan came up with this Idea. It was a good one too!

George and some of the girls from the cast.

We actually got Alan up to dance with Ruth!

It was a fun gig.

Here's the whole gang doion' the Stroll.

It was our secong gig in one day and we were fried. But we helped raise some "Duckettes" and had a lot of fun

I'll plant you now and dig you later

Dave
