Relay For Life Concert

July 2011

Photos by Dave Crimmen & Roselinda Gonzalez Lebedeff:

Every year these events are held all over the country to raise money to find a cure(s) for cancer.

In Pacifica, it's held at Terra Nova High School. People walk for hours and get friends and family to pledge money.

Musicians also come and donate their time to raise the spirits of the folks who have been walking all weekend long. The Jordanettes and I went down and did an acoustic set.

Ms. Sharon does a really good job on "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow?". You should hear her do "The End Of The World" originally by Skeeter Davis, you'd think you were listening to the original 45 R.P.M. record.

Ms. Lauren did "Son Of A Preacher Man" for the first time that day. Originally a hit for Dusty Springfield, Lauren nailed it! Lauren is one of only three female vocalists that I have ever seen or heard do a Janis Joplin song in the original key!

Don't forget that long legged guy that plays the "Git-Fiddle" as my Daddy used to call it.

Goin' for the high note and........she got it!

Rosie & Rosie, thanx for the "Pics" while we were playing on stage. :-)

Okay gang, we'll "See You" again next year.

I'll plant you now and dig you later

Dave
