July 2008

Photos by: Sharon Caren

This was our 2nd year in a row playing for the folks in Half Moon Bay, CA. on the 4th of July at Sam's

Johnny Alexander on Bass & Vocals. Here's his new "Toy"

Mick Berry from New Orleans, LA. on Drums & Vocals. he teaches gang so look him up if you're wanting lessons on the "Boom-Booms". He's now in the San Francisco Bay Area. Anyone interested can e-mail me, and I'll pass it along.

I found some interesting "History" about the flags of the United States Of America. You can find out more at http://www.usflag.org/

This one is refered to as rthe "Betsy Ross" flag and IS NOT the first official flag. In fact it NEVER was ! It's a nice story but there are no oficial records from congress that this flag was ever considered.

This vest I'm wearing is not the first official flag either. It looks good though :-)

This IS the first official flag of the United States of America. It's know as the "13 Star Flag" The first "Flag Act" was ordered by the Continental Congress June 14th, 1777 and this is the flag that was approved

GAWD I love this band !

Fans come in ALL sizes

Everybody wants to get into the act

This is the "Serapis Flag". Raised by Capt. John Paul Jones, no NOT the bass player for Led Zeppelin. After what became the most famous Naval battle during the revolutionary war, Capt. Jones raised this flag on the British Frigate Serapis after defeating British sailors . It was in this battle that Capt. Jones declared "I have not yet begun to fight"
