Dave Crimmen, Johnny
Rocker (Soundtrack) Oct.2001
Dave Crimmen is a local
(San Jose) rockabilly artist with two excellent
CD's under his belt and a third in the works. His
latest is currently (August 2001) challenging the
likes of REM for initial airtime at some
college stations. He has the opportunity to provide
some music for a film in the works called
Johnny Rocker. "Del Monico's
Theme" was recorded for that project. It
may never be released but it merits review and
exposure.
"Del Monico's
Theme" Surf Instrumental
Stereo
The traditional "Walk
Don't Run" drums and the walking rockabilly upright
bass support a simple and exceptionally good guitar
line, with rich whammy, vibrato, an adventurous
island feel, and crisp energy. This is a highly
infectious tune that bears multiple listenings.
This is a really interesting track, well written,
well played, and fresh.

Dave Crimmen, Where He
Left Off 1997
Dave Crimmen is a local
rockabilly artist that is beginning to make quite a
splash. This is his second CD release, and it's
packed with tuff tunes, great ballads, and one fine
rockin' instro.
"Rockabilly Rave"
Rockabilly Instrumental Stereo
This instro employs a time
tested guitar lick and great piano. Totally
infectious rhythm and fire, with great big twang
and tuff walking upright bass. Simply
cool.
